The Information Technology sector has a number of characteristics that set it apart from all other economic activities. The traditional source of information is based on the analysis of government databases. These cover the evolution of turnover and employment in the sector.

Another source of information, widely used by large global companies in the Information and Communication Technology sector, is companies specialized in market research for the sector. These, however, focus on monitoring the performance of the consumer market instead of the ICT industry.

So we have developed systematic and detailed studies of the ICT industry itself, so that, for example, a particular company can benchmark the rest of the country, another country where it wants to settle, or companies similar to it .
